FORM: This tissue is a continuation from the outer layer of the heel (calcaneus) that the plantar fascia attached to. It’s a darn thick tendon that then Ankle sprain. Plantar fasciitis. Shin splints. Bunions. Ankle impingement. Tendinitis. Osteoarthritis.

What do all of these injuries *tend* to have in common?A dysfunctional foot/ankle sling!

Let me explain. Muscles don't really work in isolation. The physical therapy journey is almost never linear, particularly if the problem we are treating has been around for awhile. Knowing what to tweak and when is critical. 🔑🔑🔑 .

The plantar fascia in the context of the  Superficial Back Line (SBL)

FORM: It starts from the underside of all five toes PLUS an extra band from abort of the little toe and then comes together into a thick band (called an aponeu "My calves are always tight no matter how much I stretch them!" I hear this A LOT. But what if your calf isn't actually tight?
The problem with this symptom is that it doesn't actually tell you much about what is really going on. The p If you challenge your body, it is likely that it will need skilled support along the way. This doesn’t mean you are broken! Injuries are apart of life, having the right support system is key. An experienced physical therapist is a must! .
